A dozen nurses at Surat Hospital in Salaberi-de-Wellfield were involved in a sit-in on Tuesday evening.

They refused to return to evening work due to staff fatigue and mandatory overtime (OST).
Workers say they fear for their safety and the safety of patients.
“At the moment it is the day’s committee to keep the castle going. We tried suggestions. We asked for the ambulance to be rerouted. We were rejected. Announced in an interview.
“With every roster that starts there is already a staff shortage so people are back to work and know what OSI is doing,” said another nurse.
The sit-in went on for several hours, but just before 10 p.m. Surat hospital staff decided to get back to work.
The union told TVA Nouvelles that the employer had threatened to sue the labor court.
